Our Story

CLP Group FS LTD was founded by Carl Lawrence Pye 2014, after taking on his first kitchen contract for Great Places. We carried out all aspects of electrical work gradually increasing our workload and employing electricians as the company grew. We have gone from strength to strength each year with the services we provide.

After 12 months, we approached a friend, Jonathan Moody, who we served our apprenticeship with, to join the company due to growth. We believed together, we could move the business forward. Once Jonathan joined the business, we went from a sole trader to a Ltd company in April 2015, due to the fact CLP Group FS LTD had won new business with Mears Group carrying out void works, EICR testing, and electrical rewires.

Shortly after our success with Mears, we approached Evolve Facilities Services, who we had an excellent relationship with our previous employers, who solely work alongside Riverside Housing. We started with a kitchen rewire program which then led to domestic/communal EICRs, smoke alarm installs, communal lighting upgrades, bathroom upgrades, rewires, eventually, this led to workstreams Nationwide which we still carry out to this day.

In May 2017, Carl Andrew joined CLP Group FS LTD after various discussions over a 3-4-month period, to ensure it was the correct move for both parties. The reason behind this was to implement internal structures/processes and procedures to take the business to the next level. Carl Andrews’s previous experience was also in the social housing sector for the last 17 years, as a contracts manager delivering various contracts for multiple clients, these included Contour homes, Villages, and Fix 360.

Within the next 3 years with Carl Andrews’s arrival, CLP Group FS LTD developed a whole new maintenance division, and internal systems as well as added to our client portfolio, these include Magenta Living, Ian Williams/Anchor, Bell Group/YHG, Onward Homes, and Guinness Property. This led CLP Group FS LTD to employ Andy Birtwistle as General manager, who has 30 years of experience within the social housing Sector. He started out as an apprentice joiner with a local company working his way up to Branch manager within the Mears group, running contracts across the Northwest.

Our turnover has increased year by year, and our estimated turnover for 2022/23 is £6.5 Million. We now employ a total of 60 staff members, which include various trades including electricians and all aspects of the building trade, and internal office staff.
